Terry KnausSECRETARY

Terry Knaus is a licensed landscape contractor and works part time specializing in maintenance, pruning and irrigation. Terry was employed as the gardener at the Mendocino Coast District Hospital for twenty-eight years, during which time he not only maintained the landscape there but also designed and installed the planting of the extensive grounds. His blue 1954 Chevrolet pickup is a familiar sight around Fort Bragg.

He is an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he has served on the council, and as a synod assembly delegate and lay preacher. He is looking forward to serving as a volunteer chaplain at the hospital.

Before moving to Fort Bragg, Terry grew up in Southern California.  He earned his bachelor's degree in history from Cal State, Hayward, and spent a year in graduate school at Brandeis in Massachusetts.  He was employed at Holmes Book Co. in Oakland and San Francisco before moving to Fort Bragg in 1975.
